I know I'm gonna sound like a dope - but all the hacks I've installed thus far have been 'simple' hacks, meaning no queries involved. A few people have offered suggestions, but I kinda need someone to actually walk me through running a query via msn/yahoo/aim.

If anyone's interested, my msn is thecharmedgirl@hotmail.com ((pm me for yahoo id)), aim is CharmedGirl Rose.

I'd really appreciate it if someone could just walk me through the first few steps, I know I'll understand it once I get started.

Thanks in advance!

Rose

((I dunno if this belongs in here, or in the "How Do I" section. But, this thread is on the right site, now))

Threads you should visit:
- https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthrea...threadid=33731 (if you are more into just running a query)
- http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showt...threadid=18558 (for a much more detailed program)

Thanks, Firefly! I forgot all about the hack for queries through the cp. :D I'm going to install that now and see what I come up with.

edited to say: My computer at work is screwy. It wants to associate all .php files with PhotoShop Parade!! :( I have uninstalled the PSP, but it still wants to use it. I know there's a way to change the associations with a file, but I can't seem to do it with this particular assocation (.php). So, I can't download the required "query.php" to install the hack. :(

Any suggestions on this?
:D

Update on the last post - I can download the .php file by right clicking and saving the target as. But, I'm still interested in changing the file associations if anyone has any advice.

*hugs* Thanks, Firefly!!! With the installed 'query from cp' hack, I successfully installed your vB Notepad hack - one I've been wanting for a while now. It works perfectly!!!

Great hack, great advice, great all around. :)

You need to make an edit in your Windows registry. Select start and run. Enter regedit. Search the registry for php. You'll get the key with PhotoParade Album. Double click on it and change it to PHP file. Reboot and you're good to go. :)

I just did this. I had php files associated with Edit Plus, but they were still called PhotoParade Albums. It was bugging the hell out of me.

Rose, I can help you with the queries, since I've already done it on your webspace. ;) I'll contact you further to walk you through it. :D

:) Thanks! I think. I am almost sure I did what I said, but now they are unassociated and I'm not sure how to associate them (and with what - editplus? I tried typing that in the first time)

Right click on a PHP file and select open. Associate it with whatever text editor you use. I already had the files associated that way. The registry edit just changed the "file type", not the association.
