Hi Folks

First I want to say that I REALY LOVE vBB!
I first had an Ikonboard and I changed about 3 Month ago!

I hack my board nearly every day a bit and it´s nearly perfekt!

But one HACK I miss and never seen it anywhere!

I have a Board with over 100 forums and it´s hard to scroll from top to bottom every time!

So I thought it would be great to have a button in the categories left (see the screenshot I attached!).
If u click on that button the Forums in that categories are not visible anymore!
If u click again they come back!
(should be db based!!)

So you can "customise" the board to your own needs and hide forums you rarly visit!

I´m not a php coder so I can´t do it myself and need help from you people!

Is someone there who will code this hack?
Or is there already a hack and I missed it?
I think I´m not the only one who would love to have this hack!

I think this is possible with java!

There are some Menus out there who work the same way!
Maybe someone can modify the scripts?

I think there's a hack similiar to this for collapsing posts within a thread. That would be really neat to collapse a forum and all it's subforums. ((For instance collapse the no-posting parent directory and it's subs, but not all hte forums on the page)).

I'd be really interested in this hack, as well. :D

As once I've had time to tidy it up I'll release it as a hack.
Currently works under gecko based browers (netscape6 etc), MSIE5+, Konqueror, Opera support is impossible until opera extend thier DOM support, netscape4 would be a mess to code for ;). Unsupported browsers only loose the expand/contract functions.

I think that would be groovy!

But without DB support it isn?t very usefull cause after entering one forum and then come back to the index all forums are expand again!

Is there someone who can do the rest and implement a DB support so that the settings of every user are saved in the DB to make it REAL PERFEKT???
