is there a way to set a color for a specific forum heading (not all but just one) somewhere in the software or soemthing? I need to set a certian header as a lighter color than the others, but I only need to change one not all of them. Anyone know of a solution?

Add new style set

no that doesnt work when I am trying to set it for the main page. I want it to be custom on the index page not deeper into the forums.

i dont get it
is it default template at index page and non-default at forums?
if so, create another template then go to Forums settings and change the Field Style Options to set it to that Forum only

I mean on the index page, I have a header, but I want that header to be a completely different color than all the others. Changing that forum's style only affects things DEEPER, but not the forum link on the index page. So, for example...

Blah
Blah
Blah
THISONE

yes

if i set a custom style for thisone, blah blah blah and thisone all have the same heading color but the custom style affects YES, but not the outer thisone. does that still not make sense? :stupid:

I want something similar for my own board. I would like to have a template (forumheader_8 for example) which goes at the top of forum number 8. I am trying this but no luck as of yet!

I am still struggling and trying to do this. I am using the $forumid variable and I can output the name of the template I want to include, and I can also change it into a filename.

So I need one of two things. Either: 1) A way to use SSI style includes to external HTML pages. 2) a way to call a template dependant on the forumid variable.

Personally, I would really like to use includes for this, and I'm sure there is a method of doing it. Does anyone know how I can use include calls in my forumdisplay template?

I have no idea; however I am glad to see someone is trying to work on this, it would be extremely valuable IMHO.
