When a moderator bans a user, the user's title does not change automatically to reflect his new banned status. This hack fixes that.
Edit: For those who downloaded it before this update, when it says look for the first string, it should be the SECOND appearance of this string! Sorry for the confusion. |
nice :)
gonna be installing this later tonight. thanks man :) |

Great hack !! but ?
So far I only have been able to find banning options in the admin control panel that lets me ban the IP address or an E-mail address. How does one ban the actual username (login name) ??? where can in find that option ? |
Great hack. Thank you!

I'm curious for this, too. Right now any 'banned' members of mine are in a special User Group and that fixes their title automatically. I set their group so they couldn't see the board, use pm's or anything. Basically, they are like 'guests'. How does one go about actually 'banning' a member without changing their usergroup? |
well mods have a control panel in that panel they can search names then have option to ban the name as a mod cant ban emails or ips only names
|
If I wanted to make it more obvious he was banned, what would I change in the hack? IE: change his username to *BANNED* and his custom title to "This user is history." :D
