Does anybody know the best way to get time sensitive information into the major search engines as quicly as possible?

A priest on my site has begun writing a series of advent articles - one per day. I would like to see them get some exposure for him; however a) I have no money to pay for faster spidering and b) it seems to take the normal search engines ages to find stuff.
