Users Complaining about Posts Marked as Spam after Edits
Hello,
Users on our forum are complaining that their posts get marked as spam, requiring moderator intervention to approve them, after more than one edit is made. Im not sure of what the threshold is, but it seems clear that this is happening. We are running vBulletin 5.6.4p1. I have searched the options, and I cant find anything obvious that would allow me to tune this. Any ideas are welcome! - Alex |
Check Spam Management Settings, You can access these settings under Settings -> Spam Management in the AdminCP.
|
I checked there, and the only thing that I have enabled is Akismet. I don't see other Akismet users complaining about the same issue, so I suspect that it has to be something specific to my forum.
I have "Detect URLs as SPAM" set to 9999 and "Allow URL in Topic Title" set to No. I don't have any SPAM words defined. Do any of those seem suspicious? Thanks! - Alex |
Yeah, Can you try disabling Anti-Spam Akismet Service.
|
That seems to have fixed it.
We’ll have to figure out a different anti-spam service. - Alex |
