Error 500 when trying to create AD
 

Hi Guys,

I've just upgraded from VB4 to VB5 and trying to work out the differences.

I'm trying to get google adsense to work again on VB5 and when creating a new AD, I get the following error:

Error Error information: " 500 error Internal Server Error"

Any ideas how to fix? I know it's a sever/permission error, but not sure where to change. All other parts of the forum seem to be working fine.

Perhaps an active adblcoker.

nah, not that unfortunately. I've tried in firefox (which I have no extensions) and IE, same issue.

It also stuffed on one of my others sites, so not sure what I've stuffed up!

First step check error logs.

Typically Permissions, timeouts, misconfiguration in .htaccess.

yeah, that's where my skill set starts to drop off! :-)

Any suggestions where I should check permissioning? It was working fine in VB4 (no 500 errors), so not sure why it would have the error after vb5 upgrade.

try to delete js folder in forums root and do a fresh upload from the package you downloaded.
Any addons installed? Do you try with default style?

Please first check your error logs.

The other points I've listed are only possible examples for the variety of issues which lead to a error 500.
