vBulletin 5 Request - Sign in Through Steam
 

I run a PC gaming community with a vbulletin5 license, and, in the past have looked into trying to get the account registration for the forum to be based off of sign in through steam that I have seen in other communities.

The reasons being: it would function as a spam prevention, easily link players to their forum accounts and lastly make the sign up for the forum more hassle free.

My web design buddy and I have looked into existing articles and mods and found it to be rather dead end, so my question to this community is does anyone have experience with this or something similar and would they be able to provide some insights?

While this is a VB4 mod maybe it can provide at least the frame work for someone else to develop a VB5 version?

I saw that and I appreciate the response but the code was so old and had a ton of backdoors that it was kinda hard to salvage much from . :/ Thanks though.
