Extract metadata into posts
 

Hey,

im looking for a way to extract metadata such as the name tag or the facebook og meta, to get links to be converted to facebook style postings. That would be really nice.

This site https://metatags.io/ shows the output im talking about. It displays meta data extraction google style and also facebook and twitter style.

Say for example that a user is pasting a link in his post. Normaly that only produces a clickable link. but i would like it to emerge like it does on facebook / twitter.

I have tried to modify some bb code to extract the meta data, so far without any sucsess.

Any info or input on this matter would be highly apprechiated.

In xenforo this happens automatically, the link appears the same way as i does in fb. Is there a way to make it happen also in vb?
