compressing source code output
 
I'm trying to create a plugin to remove all white spaces from the source rather than having to run each template through an html beautifier. I have tried init_startup & global_start for my hook locations. Yet nothing is happening, and the source code remains the same. Can anyone help me with this, or point me in the right direction.

Managed to get results using the output variable. now to figure out the regex save for vb

I think global_complate hook works.
But I had problems ignoring JavaScript from this compress as it causes issue.
