vb.org Archive - Does Anyone Use MAMP?

First apologies if this question is in the wrong area...wasn't sure where to put it.

I'm trying to use MAMP to work on my website locally. I've installed MAMP...got the Apache & MySQL servers running...and I've moved all of my website files into the htdocs folder (I mean ALL the files from a full website backup).

At this point I don't know what to do...I'm stuck!:(

I'm not really sure what I need to do next...what files actually belong in the htdocs folder?...and how to get the databases running (2 of them)?

FYI...I'm running vBulletin 4.2.5 (not sure this matters).

I'm assuming once everything is setup properly...I should be able to enter my websites URL into the browser localhost URL area...and my website should popup just like the live site would on the internet.

If anyone can help...I'm a novice at this...the more details the better.
