Ok im being dumb here I know but this is the first time I have tried to add a hack to my boards (other than coloured smilies but I dont think that counts ;) :D ).

I have downloaded, unzipped and uploaded the VBStats hack. Now what?? I have tried www.mysite/forums/vbstats/install.php etc etc (lots of variations on that! :D ) but cant get it to run. I have tried following the instructions Bane put in his post (looks a great hack btw from what I have seen elsewhere!!) but I dont really know what to do.

I would have put this request in the thread but I can see myself having problems with all hacks I try, so I thought it best to get the advice here and hopefully will be able to do things for myself from now on (yeah right............ ;) ).

Hmm, it would be better if you posted this in the vbstats thread so Bane could read this, too.
Anyway, first thing you do wrong is the file structure. The install file goes into the admin dir like http://www.yoursite.com/forums/admin...ts_install.php This script only adds the needed tables to the database. You only need to run it ONCE. Else you get errors. After that, do the file and template changes as written in the instructions. And those are actually very clear.
