No, I cannot. Their terms of service expressly prohibit it.

Why don't you add You tube videos? It is more better with good features. I also added youtube videos to my forum homepage and it works as a charm.

Yes, you can.

1.1 Dailymotion is an original, free video hosting website that enables users to access, view, upload, store and share videos... the Dailymotion video player is embeddable onto any website,

Embedding their player is not the same as embedding any video from their platform.

They supply the code to embed their player. That is what they give legal permission to do. That is "authorized reproduction."

They do not grant legal right to embed any video on their platform in any place at any time in any manner for any purpose. That is "unauthorized reproduction."

Hopefully you now understand the difference because Title 17 and Title 18 of the United States Code and our reciprocity agreement with France most certainly do.

I didn't know it was forbidden, thank you.

I'm not saying you can't do it or that nobody will do it. I'm just saying I won't do it. I can't afford the $30,000.00 statutory and $150,000.00 civil fines per infringement claim.

The primary difference between that case and this is that if you create a manner of embedding infringing material then there is evidence that you have contributed to infringement.

I don't think it's illegal to embed your own videos on your own website or another website regardless of the player (youtube, dailymotion, vimeo, etc.) and no matter how you embed them, e.g. using an iframe of your own HTML5 player (in jquery for example) if you bought the code for example on the Codecanyon website. I've been doing this for years and still now especially since I own a DJI Mavic 2 Pro drone.

It's legal to embed any Dailymotion video using the video default option in the vB5 Connect editor.
