How can I do this?

I guess this can't be done?

Have you tried to edit the user groups calendar permissions?

Yes, I can turn all member groups to off and I can set the calender to "0" as display order and it still shows up.

So, I flat gave up trying to remove it and I had help in editing the "calendar.php" file that runs when calendar is clicked. The edit takes the person to the google public syncronized calendar that I want to display for the forum members. A redirect statement was inserted in the calendar.php to send it to the google calendar.

Ok, you will need to modify each template and remove the calendar links.

Had I known how to do that, I would have removed the "calendar" and put my google calendar link into a tab at the top of the screen.

Well 76 in January, and my coding skills are severely lacking and way too late to go to school to get the skill! :D

Go to your admincp then in the left column in the settings section select "Navigation manager", on the "tab" column click "Forum" then uncheck the box next to "Calendar" then click save at the bottom of the page.

Those are the tabs I know I can control. There is a "Calendar for Events, Meetings/Agendas" Tab I made that has a link to the google public calendar that we are going to use in January. I haven't turned that tab on yet. My screen does not have a "Calendar" tab on it. The word "Calendar" that appears on my forum screen is loaded in the line or header(?) below the tabs in the navigation screen. I imagine somewhere in the template, there is a way to simply hide the word "Calendar" from my screen. Attachment 1 shows the Navigation tabs I have. Attachment 2 shows the "Calendar" I was trying to hide.

On the page shown on your first screenshot click the Forum (tab) link and it will expand, there should be another Calendar link there.

Well, well! Looky there! Some stuff was hiding in the fine print!

Much thanks! I will turn off this calendar and open up the one I built. I'll also put calendar.php back to it's unedited form.

Thanks, you've been a great help!
