converting VB 5.5 to bbpress

Has anybody successfully converted a VBulletin 5 board to bbpress ?

There only seems to be a vBulletin 4 importer for bbPress. Due to the significant number of database changes between vBulletin 4 and 5, that one will not work with vBulletin 5.

Your best bet is probably to reach out to bbPress or post on their forum since people who moved from vBulletin 5 to bbPress likely aren't present or active on this forum anymore. This might be a good start https://bbpress.org/forums/topic/vbu...ess-migration/

BBPress is terrible. Why don't you instead integrate your Vbulletin site with Wordpress?

I've only done vB4 and that was to get the vB4 CMS articles into Wordpress as pages/posts.

BBPress and BuddyPress don't suck, it's just a major lack of features that you normally see in full-fledged forum software. Well I suppose if you want similar features, then sure maybe they "suck" from a feature-rich standpoint.

I do see many using Wordpress as their CMS with vBulletin or Xenforo as the forum. There is actually a super-awesome plugin called XPress that integrates your Xenforo theme into Wordpress and you can play with the variables and show data from Xenforo even if you don't use the built-in theme. I'd love to see someone develop similar for vBulletin 5 + Wordpress to be quite honest! I prefer VBulletin to Xenforo on all things except integrating with Wordpress only due the above plugin.

I'm looking into doing this now, but it seems to be very difficult to accomplish.
What I really wanted is a unified login to my site (wordpress + VB5) and there seems to be no mod/plug-in available that works with VB5 (only 4).
