This is great but I usually insert directly on my vB templates because I can add banner ads to wherever I wanted.

Just ad the banner, the ads go into the banner system so then you can also have rotating ads if you need/wish. Insert the banner code into the template where you want the ads to display. If you save your ads into the banner system mod there's no need to edit templates although I'd imagine you're on 4.2.5 though by now so it's not like you'll need to worry about failed template merges and such anytime soon and if you already have the templates edited you're okay but it would help if swapping any out in the future of course.

Ohh and there are also some nice conditionals for displaying content after X number of posts and more see this post for some examples near the bottom.
