Request - Account Deletion aka "Delete My Account"
 

Due to GDPR compliance we will take account deletion requests via email, please email sales@vbulletin.com with the site name, site URL, Account Name + Email Address Used (Please provide both email and account name if possible).

Please Note:

• We have revised this for vbulletin.org and will be taking the same stance as vbulletin.com forums i.e. if you request account deletion we will comply no matter where you reside (within the US vs EU etc).
• Do Not Create Multiple Threads or Posts regarding your account deletion.
• Do Not Private Message myself or another staff member. Account Deletion Requests are ONLY reviewed after you submit the following information listed above.

Methods to the Madness, in case some are curious
- Why can't you delete my account? Why can't I PM you or an Admin about this? I cannot delete/obfuscate accounts (TheLastSuperman) and while Admins do frequent the site, there is a method and way of handling these deletion requests which does not include reviewing multiple threads, private messages, and whatever else you decided to go do while you're account wasn't immediately removed... If I explain there is a delay, most of you will be patient and accommodate accordingly until your request is completed. What's good for the Goose isn't always good for the Gander, maintain your composure and be patient until your account is deleted.
- Why can't I make a new thread on this? Well for one double-posting the same issue isn't the best course of action and we'll just moderate the thread and remove it.

This applies to forum user accounts on vBulletin.com and vBulletin.org only. vBulletin Staff cannot delete user accounts on sites owned by customers.

I just put in a request for this, also asked if they can remove from vb.com as well so you don't have to follow up, no promises but at least it will be taken care of on the org soon and apologies for the delay :cool:.

May I ask what you do to delete threads/posts in their entirety. Using the inbuilt options of vB don't delete - just shuffle the threads/posts into a usergroup called Guest but retains usernames on display.

I've had to remove one member's account under GDPR request, over 12k posts - the only way I could do it was to use the prune options - but even then a few were left.

Is there a mod available - I cam here to have a look and noticed this....

We do not delete threads and posts, not typically anyway. What we do now is change the username before deleting the user so the username doesn't remain on their threads and posts.
