API sending data

Hi All,

Please advise how organize the following task:

1. Person register on our forum.
2. Information: email and name are sent to the mail service.
3. Mail service send the automatic series of letters to the registered user.

The question is, hoe to organize the second step? Is it made with the help of vb plugin or api or in any other way?

You make use of vBulletin hooks. In this case you want to use the register_* hooks.
