Option 1:

Admincp > Styles & Templates > Style Manager

Change background color of "Table Border" (.tborder)

Not a perfect solution but a start in the right direction.

Update ~

Option 2:
Admincp > Styles & Templates > Style Manager > Sizes and Dimensions

Change Inner Border Width to "0"

This however removes all borders.

Change Inner Border Width to "0"

then scroll down to Additional CSS Definitions and add:
