I have been searching through countless forums. Do anyone know of any ways to make the "About Author" module react to the posting author.

Goal:

If someone creates a topic/post when you view the thread the about author module will highlight the author of the topic/post.

What did you exactly mean by "highlight the author"?

By highlight the author I mean just a normal "About Author" module. Highlighting either posts/reputation/general info.

Have you tried using the existing About Author module? It should do what you want but it only displays the avatar, username and profile fields. You can edit the widget_aboutauthor template to display more user info.
