CSS not changing website

Hey there, I've added some lines to my additional css file but somehow it doesn't change it. It stays as it is. Some things are changing and some aren't.

Anyone had the issue before?

You need to be far more specific.

Exactly what CSS are you attempting to use that is not working?

Sorry for the late respond, it were an issue with my files that caused it. I got it fixed! :)

Okay so from your reply, I'm assuming it was not internal css in the templates i.e. it wasn't css code in additional.css that caused this but instead was code in an externally referenced file i.e. you included a css file.

In cases like this, sometimes you can overwrite the external files css by adding !important clauses to your css in additional.css, example:

Code:

.myclassinthefile {
color: #ff4400 !important;
text-decoration: underline !important;
}

Always try a simple overwrite as the above first, most would say editing the file directly is the best way HOWEVER you're testing these changes it seems as you go, so try an overwrite first in case you mess up along the way, then you can simply comment out the overwriting definition OR make the change if successful. Another reason you may wish to try a simple overwrite would be if two styles reference the same parent external css but you wish to change the css in one style only (via simple !important overwrite). *When css is included via a plugin method i.e. it calls one external file for many different things such as a template type code, css, and javascript (usually included via php call) the !important overwrite may not always work, just a heads up in case you find yourself pulling your hair out IF you're attempting it that way.
