General Request - Is DTO still active?
 

I'm just wondering if the website DriveThruOnline with their Vbulletin products is still active. I'm trying to buy Vendor Tools but I can't.

The site is still up but they're not selling or supporting any products at the moment nor plan too from what I've heard. I can't recall specifics but what I do recall was something along the lines of their products were not being supported and there were no plans to update them (I have a few clients who used their products and have since moved on) so they will only work with up to a certain version of PHP, anything past I believe php5 and the mods won't work.

So you have tested it on PHP7?

I can confirm that vendor tools doesn't work with php7

Not specifically on PHP7 I noticed issues with most their mods on newer versions of PHP5 and heard about them not continuing with updates through word of mouth.

Thanks for the confirmation, seems all DTO products will need some form of updating before you can continue to utilize them on newer versions of PHP.

Okay, thank you. So either transfer DTO Garage to another addon or remove it in order to be able to upgrade to PHP7.

If you're in a hurry yes otherwise you can disable it, upgrade, then check into having it transferred or the product upgraded by someone. If you remove the modification though, you'll lose all data associated with it meaning, all Garages, all Cars and images from anyone who used the mod on your site would be lost. Anytime you disable a mod the data is still there, when you uninstall a modification the data is removed.
