How to Use Cloudflare on Vbulletin 4.x (100% Working)

In this tutorial I am going to share How to Use Cloudflare on Vbulletin 4.x (100% Working).

Check out Demo

This method is 100% working for me and I am not getting any login issue to admin panel or member panel.

To use Cloudflare on Vbulletin 4.x do the following steps:

1. Add your vbulletin on cloudflare... Let the cloudflare scan the Nameserver.
After scan edit your nameserver as per Cloudflare guidelines.

2. After that Go to DNS tab and check DNS and HTTP Proxy
If Icon color is highlighted then click on that cloud icon and make all DNS Only.

3. Now go to Speed Tab and enable
JavaScript
CSS
HTML

4. Next Go to Page Rule Tab, here yo need to add 3 rules.
*.youdomain.com/login.php*
Then the settings are: browser intigrity check-off, cache level: bypass
*.youdomain.com/*
Then the settings are: ssl: off, browser cache ttl:1day,always online: on, cache level: cache everything
*.youdomain.com/admincp/*
Then the settings are: ssl:off, cache level: bypass

5.Open config file and add proxy ip address of cloudflare:
go to http://intodns.com/ and put your site address
get ip address and put that address on config bottom line with coma seprated

Pls let me know if anyone using cloudflare with differnet settings.

From what I can remember of using cloudflare, it broke inline moderation somewhat.
Affected the quick reply box and caused a ip issue with "who's online". Since then, I've simply settled on not using it & rather focusing on making my site faster (look in sig). Never looked back since :)

If you do keep using it, I suggest to turn off rocketloader so it can't intercept your JS & cause interference with that.

Yes i know rocketloder trouble not only vbulletin but wordpress..

I leave the default settings, just edit some when using SSL for my forum.

I have had CloudFlare for the past 2 years, my forum is heavily modified and I haven't required any special page rules and never really had any problems with it, just using the basic settings. Guess I'm lucky. I also just installed a free LetsEncypt SSL cert too

Also for those that don't know vBulletin 4.2.x has built in reverse proxy detection now, no more class_core.php edits. But you still need root access and mod_cloudflare if you want correct IPs in your apache logs.

I used to get DDoSed alot but not in the past year or 2...guess I don't really need it anymore

Free LetsEncypt SSL. Can you share how you got it for free?
