Problems (VBSEO)

My board does this;
"The page isn't redirecting properly"
When I click the root www.maydomain.org/ (NB: the forums are on /forums/)
It is fixed when I turn VBSEO off, but them /forums/ does not work.

Anyone know if there is some simple redirect code I can put in to resolve this?
I think the index page is index.php right?

Really, just get rid of vBSEO and remove all their files from the server. It's been defunct for years and is riddled with security holes. You'll get compromised, eventually, it's a near certainty.

If I get rid of it, all my URLs are then wrong.

Not if you implement proper redirections.

I don't know how to do that.

I have now removed vbseo, but am not happy, as all the URLs are now different.

Install dbseo, you can configure the url rewriting on the free version to mimic the way vbseo did rewrites.

I wouldn't install another rewrite application, I would fix the url's just one ;)
Not that dragon byte looks to be leaving soon, but we didn't think vbseo would vanish either.

Remove the plugin then setup your redirects for post, threads and forums.
There are articles explaining online, this looks to be a well detailed one.

To each their own. Do you even still use vbulletin? I see that you have xenforo installed. Anyways, when I did this switch to dragonbyte seo, I didn't lose any backlinks thanks to properly setting it up.

Same goes for not using dbseo. If you properly set it up, you don't lose backlinks ;).
