Having a different banner according to CMS section you are reading

Hi folks,

Our forum's aim is video games, and we talk about many different of them. Especially, we developped our CMS around one game, so the main banner of our site is dedicated to this particular game.

BUT (there must be a "but", of course :) ) we also developped a wordpress site around another game whose graphic style is completely different. As this wordpress messed up some months ago and as I have not enough time to re-do a full skin and so on, we thought it would be a good idea to copy-paste the wordpress articles into our vBulletin CMS.

So the question would be : is it possible to have our main banner when we read the CMS sections dedicated to our main game, and display another banner when we read articles about this "secondary" game ?

I found tricks about forum ids, but nothing about CMS sections, so that's why I ask here.

Thank you in advance for your answers !

Regards,

Mornagest

PS : happy new year !

It is possible and you need to have a custom code or condition to display banner ads on pages you want.

Hi Matt and thank you for your answer :)

Just to be sure, by "ad", you mean small banners like those from Google and things like this ? To clarify, by "banner", I mean the main image above the navigation bar (i.e. the one on vBulletin.org : https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/images/cs...ue/vheader.jpg ). We have no external ad on our site.

I saw bits of code with conditions, like this
Quote:

<vb:if condition="$forumid == XX">
and so on, but how to adapt it on CMS templates ? And in which template should I put it ?

Thank you ! :)

Any idea ? Maybe I'm not very clear in my explanations... :o

Small bump, I still look for a way to have different site images depending on the CMS section you are reading :)
