Private Message Notification Loop Popuo!

Hello,
From past few days i am getting reports from all over users regards popup keeps on showing even after they read the notification ..

As i don't know the origin of problem i simple edited the pm_popup_script template to disable it ..

so far i remember my last modification was on xvarnish since after that only i have see this problem ..

is this due to varnish ?
