I've emailed Editplus about this because that is what I mainly use, but I tried Textpad which I used to use and I'm getting the same problem. My problem is I will open a file in Editplus a, .php file from my server. I'll edit it just as it says, I've been trying simple ones to keep the cuts clean and determine the issue. After I complete editing I save the file I back up to the last text and save. Then upload to my server in ASCII yet when I go online to see if the hacks worked I get a Parse Error usually on the last line of the whole document which I haven't even edited.
This makes me think both programs might be auto adding something to the end of the document, I just would like to know if anyone has had a similar problem or knows the correct settings to fix this issue. Thanks!;) |
This is what the screen looks like, I believe that little thing after the cursor is what causes my trouble. How can I get rid of that?

That's just from having View Line Breaks turned on. It's not really there. Go to View and turn Line Breaks off and it will go away. I stll don't know what it wrong, though.

I don't know. I just have PHP seleceted in the Settings and Syntax. Take the output of EP2 and toss it in Notepad or Wordpad and see if you see anything.
