4.2.1 to 4.2.3 upgrade?

So I'm working on an upgrade for my forum. Going from 4.2.1 PL1 to 4.2.3 PL2. Database is about 3gb in size from mysqldump uncompressed. I kicked off the CLI upgrader an hour ago. It returned a few lines about upgrading to 4.2.2, then a few more about 4.2.3 with some Beta versions. At Beta 4 it listed 3 steps (Altering postlog and two session tables). Then stated upgrading to 4.2.3 Release candidate 1. These steps all completed pretty fast. I'm now at a point saying Upgrading to 4.2.3. There's a line below it that only says "Step 1 - " With the cursor stopped past that point. I assume it's still working on stuff though as I see a mysqld process chugging away with one cpu core. Memory for that process doesn't seem to be changing much if any. CPU percentage varies a little from 97% up to 103%, but mainly hovering around 100. (4 CPU server)

How long should the upgrade take? I read to have patience with it from other posts on the web. But I ran the CLI upgrade since it's a larger forum with lots of posts. Is there anything I can look at to get a feel for where things stand?

2hrs into this now, nothing has changed on the CLI window for the script. There's still the mysqld process running and using a CPU. Looks like SHR has increased a little for it.

Guess I was just too anxious. The CLI upgrade script finished up after about 4 hours total. Starting to rebuild searching and all the other housekeeping items now.

You must have a lot of attchments, that step is processing them.

Oh yes, we have over 50gb of attachments in the file system.

Its the actual number of them rather than the size of them, but yeah, sounds like you have a lot.
