Recent Blog Posts Widget

I am running vB Suite v4.2.3. I put the Recent Blog Posts widget on my layout. When it displays, it looks like the image attachment:

How do I tell it not to include the BB Code in the Blog listing?

I would guess that will require a custom widget, that parses the article content to remove BBCodes. :)
