Strange attachment problem.

I cannot upload DOC TXT or PDF files to any posts, PNG and JPG and picture formats work just fine.

I've checked usergroup settings, attachment setting and attachment permissions. All seems to say I should be able to upload them. Am I missing something or is it just another bug.

Version 4.2.3 (Which seems to have a few "interesting" bugs).

Are those mime types set and checked as active in AdminCP/Attachment manager?

Yes, they are.

What error is being displayed when you attempt to upload those DOC/TXT/PDF files?

There is no error, as such. In the upload box that appears when you attempt to attach the doc it lists the allowed file types. JPG GIF PNG and so on but not DOC PDF TXT

If you do select one of those to upload it simply has the red error dot next to the file. Buggered if I can work it out. As far as I can see all permissions are correct and all file types are enabled and max file size is allowed is greater than the size of the file.

Looks like you are trying to upload a doc/PDF ect via the "Insert image" Ckeditor button?

Try the "Attachments" button in advanced reply, the options for doc/PDF etc should be there.

OK, thanks guys, your ideas seem to have gotten me there in an around about way. :)

I have to go into advanced editor then go to the basic uploader then upload the file then attach it to the post.

I've only had to do this since going to Vs 4.2.3 Just another " interesting feature" of this "upgrade".

Live and learn!

Thanks again.
