Searches not working quite right
 

Two areas that I'm seeing the same issue, so I'm guessing there's a theme of some sort.

My settings from vB3.x.x haven't changed that I can figure out.

My site is low volume membership so besides having Spambot Stopper (kills 95% of the idiots), I manually moderate all new members - I do an IP Spam check on all new IP addresses. If they pass everything I'll accept them.

So, that said:

In the AdminCP, when I do a search for new members
Users
Search for Users
List Users Awaiting Moderation

It will list most of the new registrations. It seems to miss some too -
Users
Search for Users
List New Registrations - some of them don't show up in the previous search for new members to moderate.

In the same context, when doing a New Posts check on the forum, it will skip showing some of the threads that show up as flagged as unread. It's not showing all the new posts.

Thoughts or comments, please?

Do you verify email - could some of the users be in the Users Awaiting Email Confirmation usergroup and that is why they aren't showing up in your search? Do you see the correct usergroup members when you go to Usergroups > Usergroup Manager > select All Primary Members from the dropdown next to users Awaiting Moderation?

As for the posts not showing up in search, what is listed in AdminCP > Settings > Options > Message Searching Options > Queue Search Updates?

I just ran though these steps and find nothing, but I don't have anyone in the cue for moderation presently.

I'll run through these steps again when I have new members show up.

I think you're onto it.

I have one that shows up under "Awaiting Moderation"
and the other under "Awaiting Email Conformation"

I thought I had my registration set so that it was all COPPA and going through the options in Registration, I see that I do, and now I see that I have this checked "yes"

Verify Email address in Registration

I've turned that off.

Hopefully I got this one correct. Thank you for pointing me in the right direction.
