Latest Activity displays very little content
 
Hi

I am using the latest activity module/widget on my homepage. The issue I am having is that it is only showing one sentence of limited length. How can I increase the character or word count? As you can see in the screen shot only one limited sentence displays. I'd like to display at least two to three full sentences:

Now 2000. I increased it from 500 and no difference.
