Forum issue after upgrade

So I will admit I am not "real" savy with VBB (know enough to be dangerouse).

In any case due to my host removing older php versions I had to update to 3.8.9.

Now I have a bunch of templates that I need to correct which is the norm from what I have seen from past upgrades but this one has me miffed. I have a bunch of plugins/products installed. I am currently running the forum on default/unmodified templates.

So whats happening I am unable to post or even use emoticons. I type something and hit send and get
Quote:

The message you have entered is too short. Please lengthen your message to at least 4 characters.
with a blank reply box.

I am miffed and could use a good place to start....

vBulletin Options/Message Posting and Editing Options scroll to, Minimum Characters Per Post, change the 3 to 2 or 1.

As for the templates needing updated, no problem.
I am willing to fix it all up for you, free of charge.
If you would like for me to do that, pm me admin account info with full privileges to the acp

If you're running the default style then simply revert the templates that need updated.
Shouldn't take more then a few seconds.

Also this will fix your posting issue from a quick google search..

Admin CP > vBulletin Options > Messaging Posting and Editing Options > Maximum Characters Per Post

I did that with my default style and have not fixed my others. Running the default and my maximum has always been set to 250 (max 251)..

Its gotta be some sort of script issue because I cannot click on the emoticons.

Ok so this is "really" odd and it only seems to be an issue on my laptop at home.

Here at work I can do anything regarding the forum.

What the heck...
