How to show BBCode rather than tags?

If anyone has used XenForo, how can I have it to when I apply BBCode to text, it will automatically apply it when I apply the tags, rather than just wrapping it in tags and displaying after the text has been submitted?

Are you saying you want all BBCodes to be parsed and displayed in the editor as you are composing a post?

That would automatically bold the text rather than putting the Bold BBCode tags right?

use the WYSISYG editor
ACP -> Settings -> Options -> Message Posting Interface Options -> Enable Clickable Message Formatting Controls

Yes, but I was kind of wondering if the OP wanted ALL (even custom) BBcodes to immediately parse in the editor for some reason...:p

How can I just have the WYSIWYG editor?

Why would you want to disable the standard editor for some of your users? Personally, I MUCH prefer the standard editor and consider the WYSIWYG editor to be for beginners who really don't know what they're doing. :)

I would simply allow users to choose which editor they want.

I can use both, I just prefer the WYSIWYG because it works better in my opinion.

When I set it in my User CP, will it load the WYSIWIG editor automatically?

It should, for you.

You set it to Standard & WYSISYG in ACP, then in your UCP choose the WYSIWYG editor, this will enable if for your account, for all options you choose to make it available in the ACP.
