Widget General Search

I am trying to find a way to set the up a general search widget, the only option is the past so many days, last # of articles/posts.

I would like for the search to omit the first 4 returns.

Since I already display the first 4 most recent articles on my main page I don't want to display them redundantly in this search.

Is there a way to do this?
