Add user rank to account from pre set

Looking for a mod that will allow me from the Admin CP Edit User Page to be able to apply a user rank from the ones already defined in the User Rank Manager. Pretty much looking for a drop down menu with all the ranks and you could add multiple ones. It's more so of an alternative than having multiple user groups for just one person to have that rank.

Bump.

Rather than bumping this thread over and over, I suggest posting in the paid requests forum. :)

User ranks are designed to be assigned to usergroups, and so what you need to do is define ranks for all desired usergroups, and then add the appropriate people the the usergroups you want.

I do have it like that, the idea behind this though is to eliminate the need of excessive usergroups for a simple user rank. :)

But how would you create ranks without having usergroups with which to associate them?

You would probably be better off bypassing the User Rank system and use a custom profile field for this purpose instead.

Hmm, having it defined in a settings page and then having a drop down menu on their Account page in the Admin CP.

Hmm, and from there, would it display as a user title?

When you define a new user rank, you have to associate it with a usergroup...a usergroup that does not already have a rank associated with it.

If you use a custom profile field, you could put it anywhere in the postbit you want. I have already written a very similar product for another user that allows multiple badges to be assigned to users without the need for any usergroup associations.

Here is a screenshot of how it looks in a postbit (using images):

It shows up in user profiles as well.

Hmm, can you use text instead of an image, and also BBCode in it?
