Nominate Thread for "X" Award ...
 

As a site specialising in Poetry the first post in any thread is (often) a poem. In vB3 we had a routine that allowed members to Nominate the Poem (i.e. Thread) for one of two different awards.

Does anyone have something that could be used/adjusted, for working on vB4.2.3 ?

Something similar to this on these very boards ..... (attachment :D )

I had downloaded that a few days ago, but for a different use - to be restricted to a limited group of members.

I wonder if anyone could assist.

I have a nomination button added at (hook) postbit_display_complete.

I would like the button, when activated, to send a copy of thread URL to a nominated forum, with a 'reason' for nomination that includes info on who nominated.

I imagine something along the lines of the report_post option, but with an input box similar to that of reputation_post.

I've scouted around but have found little I can understand fully enough to be able to sort it out myself - but would appreciate some guidance; or at least a starter that I can work my way through.

I thought this would help> "simple email2post" by QSTR, but it's not quite what I'm looking for, as it relies on an email being sent.
