Why vB4 default theme was not a responsive design?
While more users liked to have a responsive design for vb4 default theme but vB team didn't work on it and used mobile style instead. What is the reason?

This should probably be asked over on vbulletin.com

Responsive was not really a thing 6 years ago.

Because it's a lot of work to make a real responsive theme.

Also, we're talking about getting a full theme to be responsive. Not a flimsy paper mache white & blue theme offered by default by vbulletin. |

Of course you use mobile style, you can pass Google's requirements here https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/mobile-friendly/ But on other aspects, responsive theme is always better. |

I have also agreed that the mobile style is not the best, but at the time is was a good solution. Responsive wasn't even a thing back when vb4 was originally written, and other things have been much higher on the radar then making it responsive when that actually came about. And now with vb5 being out, I highly doubt it will ever change for vb4. |
