how to get activity stream outside of vbulletin installation

I am trying to make a simple activity stream with a profile image and a description using php and sql so that I can use it outside of the vBulletin installation and if I am successful provide it as a free product/plugin that anyone could use.Could anyone advise me on how to do this ...I am not familiar with the database structure of vbulletin.
