Upgrading forum under different account
 
I bought a site with vbulletin 3.8.6 PL1 on it and purchased my own license. If I go to upgrade this site with my license/member ID is that going to cause a problem?

Also, since it's 3.8.6, to get to 4.2.2 what iteration should I upgrade to first? 3.8.9? then to 4.2.2?

no to both. Just make sure you have a good back prior to upgrading, just in case something goes wrong.
