Change how my VB RSS feed looks

Can anyone direct me on how to change how the RSS feed looks from my site?

From searches I have done, I gather something will need to be edited in external.php. But I have no idea what or where. I would like to have an image (the first attachment) included. I also am using the Threadfields mod and would like them to show up in the feed as well. I have asked about that on their site already, but figured I would throw that in here in case anyone is able to help with that.

Have you tried the RSS2 link? CAn guests view attachments?

Yes to both. I am using 4.2.3RC1, if that changes anything.

The forum I am looking to show the attachments for is open but not visible until I can get this all sorted, here is a link: http://www.huntleyneighbors.com/foru...1-Trading-Post

Thank you!

Well, the RSS feeds go purely on guests permissions. Guests can't view attachments right now. That'd be your problem.

Ah - thank you! I have changed it for all but the usergroup that is banned. It is still not showing. I'm not sure if that is because it will take some time, or if the banned usergroup needs to be able to see attachments too. I would rather not, but if that is what I need to do I will. Does it need to be ALL usergroups?

OK, I have made it so even banned users can see attachments and image is still now showing. Not sure what else I can do, but this is for a buy/sell/trade forum, so it would be really helpful if the image would show. I have no idea how to go about this from here...
