Channels disable without removing

using vb 5.1.9

For now I have removed from the menus blogs and cms, may decide to use at a later date.

My question is from the channel list is there a way to make a channel unseen from search engines crawls and basically not existent even with a direct link to it without actually deleting the channel - so it could be brought back later is desired.

Is there a way to decide what content is crawled?

Where can it be selected rather visitor messages is allowed?

Is there a mod to display current search engine crawlers in the what's going on section

Remove viewing permissions for those channels in the admincp channel manager. To control what is crawled, use the robots.txt file to control that. Search google for robots.txt for instructions and samples. This only works for legitimate search engines that respect the robots.txt file.

Visitor messaging can be turned off and on in the user manager.

IDK if there is a mod for search engine crawlers. I've never seen one for VB5
