So ... I felt like doing something creative and redesigned a portion of our site in flash to give it a more video game esque feel.

Of course now that I almost finished with it, the virgo in me wants to take it one step further and have the flash file display the actual html being spitted out by the php file.

What I was thinking was returning the results on the subsequent links to the actual flash movie...

ahh i see what you are talking about, i like the way the store is set up looks like the game meun.. heh.. but i think i would be able to give it a shot, its not to hard but it will take a little to input all the items.

Thats echoing out in html the value of the variable obviously,... how do I get flash to do that?

ohh ok, let me ask you a question about the cart and points.. do they come off a DB table?

i have a good idea on how to work this if you have the variables coming from a DB. you would have to make the cart and functions all one flash movie, but then have the other variable files edited to interact with the flash functions. make sence so far

Basically... the real thing we need to do is have the Flash movie pass stuff to a php script, which processes them and passes the results back, which causes the flash to jump to a certain movie and display the returned variables.

I have the backend done in PHP already, modifying the output to make Flash happy would be easy.

The question is... how to make Flash call the file, pass the variables and read in the output... trasnparently in the background.
