BB Code for WMV and MP4
 

<font size="2">I have looked and looked in the 4.0 Mods area and do not see a BB code that will do WMV and MP4. Maybe this is not possible. I want to get away from youtube as they have gotten really stupid in what you can upload. So I want to host my own videos and do not want to enable html to embed the html code.

So, is there a BB Code for each of these somewhere that I am not seeing in my search, or can someone give me the code to do so here? I am sure it would be a separate code for each or would there be one code for both!

Or better yet, would there be one code that would allow all formats? flv, mov, wmv, mp4 etc.

Thanks Shawney. I suppose that would be a second option. Do you have to have the attachments enabled? I have attachments turned off due to someone loading a malicious image, I think it was, because when I tried to copy and past it into my photo editor to get a better look at it my malware picked up a Trogan. So I shut attachments off.

Since no one has a simple BB code for those formats, can I assume it is not possible?

Yes, you would need attachments enabled for first link. Though you can disable image uploads.

There is a simple bbcode for MP4. But as you want flv, wmv, MP4. You would need a player with flash fallback. If you download the zip I suggested in second link, the bbcode instructions are in that zip file. It is a simple bbcode, but you need a player to support flv etc to go with it. If you need a hand let me know.

Shawney, seeing how I will convert the videos into MP4 that would be all I need. I don't intend to put the code in from another website with different formats, just my own hosted videos. So just one simple BB Code in MP4 would be ok.

I will get the zip and see if I can figure it out.
