Please read, Admin or staff
I received an email that I had tried signing in and my account was blocked too many attempts.
The ip reported as 95.70.240.115 This is not my ip and is in Turkey. |
Yes the same thing happened to my account.
I use a random generated password so it's not likely that someone will be able to figure out my password. |
This happens about every three months. You have nothing to worry about if you have a strong password.

Idem for me

Updated the title, there is no need for it to be all caps, we can read normal titles you know ;)
As Lynne says, we get hit by these brute force attacks every few months, the software does its job and blocks them. |
One of these days the email will state "Remnants of Kryptonite were found on scene" then I shall worry Paul, I shall! Until then you're Dr. Pepper's Safe with me!
:p |
do many people have experienced this?
|
Not sure about how many to-date but it does occur every so often. This happens on countless sites so it's more so "who's doing it" versus any particular software being susceptible.
Make sure your password for ANY site is very long 18+ characters (or the max allowed) and very strong. Example of strong password: Code:
v@R!aT!0n%2015w00t Code:
variation2015woot |
