Auto subscribing to forums based on User Groups assigned
 

Hi

I am pretty new to VB4 and have somewhat of a unique requirement.

- User accounts on our VB are created by admin (no auto registration)
- Have multiple Forum Categories
- Have multiple User Groups
- Each user-group has access to one or more Forum Categories
- A new user is assigned to one or more user-groups
o Based on the groups assigned during the registration, the user needs to be auto subscribed to the Forum Categories and every forum and thread under each of that category. The user can opt-out later.

I have been going thru many discussions here and can see that this ought to be a custom plugin or something. I don't see anything like a user group restriction on forum categories. My question is how do I go about this? Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
