How to make it so threads don't move when responded to?
 

So I want the threads posted to not move, even when responded to. I want them to not appear up top when responded to.

Think of my forum as a trend or a chain of custody. I want people to be able to respond to the threads but not make it pop up to the top of the top of the forum... simply let it stay where it was originally started.

Is there a way to do this?

When you edit a forum, there's an option called "Default Sort Field". Set this to "Thread Start Time".

After testing, if you just change the setting at the main title (parent for all forums in chosen area) it doesn't work. BUT if you make Dave's suggested setting at each forum within that parent it works.
