I'm looking to develop a hack for my vB which will allow the site to award users points based on their actions, for example, if a user posts a new thread, they receive 2 points, for each reply they post they receive 1 point, and if they write an article (in a diffrent section of the site) they receive 10 points.

Is there a hack like this out there that I can base mine on, or, is anyone out there willing to help me build this one.

This thread is over 2 years old, please search harder since there have been many point hacks released

I would suggest giving points based on how long they've been a member by the number of days. For each day, perhaps give them 10 points or something. There are some excellent hacks that do what you want but from personal experience, it just made more people spam.

There's nothing worse than seeing a :) as a reply. I modified it so people now get money to spend based on how long they've been a member of the site and posts give the user no reward, except for posting because they like to have a discussion, not raise their post count for points.

Something to think about anyhow.
