Facebook Conversion Pixle

Hello, I am wanting to do paid advertisement to try and get more people to my forum but only wanting to pay for those who join.

so you can do the conversion pixel but my question is how would you put it in?

the register.php handles both the registration as well as the thank you page.

if I was doing it I would put it on the Thank you page. but don't see how I can do that since they are both the same page

any help would be greatly appreciated

I had to google "Facebook Conversion Pixel" because I'd never heard of it, so I'm not really familiar with it. Is this only if someone uses facebook registration, or anytime someone registers? And if you're using email confirmation, does it matter if it happens before they confirm? Or you just want to include it on the page after the registration form is successfully completed?

it would be anytime somebody registered. and facebook would track it by who clicked on their links. but I don't want to just pay for "Visitors" but for people who are actually joining the forum. so after email confirmation should be fine. I believe.

Sorry but I do not think this is how it works. FB can only send people to your registration link and site. The rest is up to you. Sure would be nice though to only pay for conversions. :)

So are you saying it only works if you put it on a page that comes directly from an ad? Or are you saying that what you pay for has nothing to do with the pixel? I guess it makes sense to put the pixel on whatever page they land on just to track how many people came from that ad?

I do not know much about it but I doubt fb would charge only for people that actually register or after an email confirmation.

Yeah, I agree with that. It must just be for customers to track which ads work, and not for determining payment.

You may be able to track this with Google Analytics Goals.
