vb.org Archive - How to do a redirect?

Here is the structure of my forum:

domain.com opens up the vBCMPS home page.
domain.com/forum.php opens up the forum.

But it doesn't look nice giving people the link domain.com/forum.php. I want to make this domain.com/forum and so when someone goes to domain.com/forum, the page domain.com/forum.php opens up. So how do I go about setting this up? I don't want to move the entire forum to the directory /forum/ as that would be a lot of mess for me. I just want this simple redirect. How to do it?
